What the creator says: "Word World is an introduction to words and word building for preschool children. The idea is to introduce children to the concept that letters make up words and words are linked to real-life objects and ideas," said Don Moody, CEO and founder of Word World. Running Press senior editor Andra Serlin acquired the license thinking it was a good fit for RP's publishing program. "We want books that kids have to interact with, because reading is an interactive experience," she said.
Of note: An animated series is currently being coproduced with PBS, with a projected air date in spring 2007.
