HarperCollins U.K.'s mind, body, spirit imprint, ThorsonsElement, will close its Boston office at the end of this month. By year's end, Thorsons will no longer issue a distinct list in the U.S., but will release selected titles that will be distributed by HarperCollins. The change arose after Thorsons refocused its list on U.K. authors.
No decision has been reached on what will happen to Thorsons's spring/summer U.S. list, although some books are expected to be canceled. Nor has the imprint finalized its plans for its U.S. backlist, which includes The Dalai Lama's Book of Wisdom and Jonathan Lazar's Come On, Get Happy: 365 Ways to Feel Good.
