After launching an Internet-radio network earlier this year, Hay House is joining with Sirius Radio to begin live broadcasts over the satellite radio system's LIME network this week. Much like it does on the Internet, HayHouseRadio.com will offer live programming on healthy living featuring a variety of Hay House authors.
HayHouseRadio.com began broadcasting live over the Internet in March. Visitors to the Web site can listen to live broadcasts through MP3 players or return later for archived broadcasts. The shows are also offered as podcasts downloadable to iPods or computers that have iTunes.
Every show features a book or product that can be purchased through online bookstores or at the Hay House site. Hay House CEO Reid Tracy said the broadcasts have "tremendously" increased Web and bookstore sales. "Partnering with Sirius was the next logistical step," said Tracy.
Jacqui Clark, Hay House publicity director, said the Sirius broadcasts will begin with 15 hours of live broadcasting. Clark said the Web radio site has more than 60,000 subscribers (who get e-mail alerts and other marketing efforts) with 2,000 new subscribers joining each week. The Sirius Radio network has about 2.5 million listeners.
