Changes at DK
On the heels of changes to its U.S. editorial structure, Carl Raymond is leaving DK Publishing. He had been adult publishing director. Editor Brian Saliba will move to the custom publishing division, where he will report to business development director Mike Vaccaro.
Lindsay to Abrams
Colleen Lindsay has joined Harry N. Abrams as director of marketing operations. Lindsay, who oversee the house's marketing budget along with key promotions for Abrams adult, Abrams Image and STC titles, has previously worked in sales at Random House and as a bookseller at San Francisco's Stacey's Books.
Reidy to Soho
Soho Press has hired Sarah E. Reidy as director of publicity. Reidy, who arrives from Penguin, where she worked on publicity for the Gotham and Dutton imprints, will handle Soho Press and Soho Crime titles. Reidy will start at Soho January 8.
Promos at Warner
Jimmy Franco has been bumped up to publicity director at Warner Books. Franco, who's been at Warner for 12 years, has worked with Jon Stewart and Billy Crystal. Also in the publicity department, Jessica Kaufman and Nicole Kuritsky have both been promoted to assistant publicist; Tanish Christie is now senior publicist. In editorial, Rebecca Isenberg has been promoted to assistant editor.
Gioia Reappointed
The U.S. Senate has approved Dana Gioia's second four-year term as chairman of the NEA.
