Kevin Hamric has been named v-p of sales & marketing at Quayside Publishing Group. Hamric, who will be based out of the publisher's Minneapolis office, will report directly to president and CEO Ken Fund. He was most recently director of book sales at Taunton Press.

Jones to Keen

Mike Jones has been named director of special sales at Keen Communications, which owns Menasha Ridge Press (Birmingham, Ala.) and Clerisy Press (Berkeley, Calif.). He was most recently director of sales & marketing at Portland, Ore.'s Graphic Arts. Jones will remain based in Portland.

Shanks to Public Affairs

Tessa Shanks has been named senior publicist at Public Affairs, succeeding Jaime Leifer. Shanks arrives from Knopf, where she was a publicist. Leifer is moving to the New Yorker, where she will be public relations manager.
