Ferguson to Mills & Boon
Mandy Ferguson has been named general manager of the U.K subsidiary of Harlequin, Mills & Boon. Ferguson, who will start September 1, arrives from Ryvita, where she was managing director for the past three years. Ferguson is taking over for Guy Hallowes, who is retiring.
Finkelstein Joins D&M
Jesse Finkelstein has been named digital assets and foreign rights director at the Vancouver-based D&M Publishers. Finkelstein will be leading D&M's digital publishing initiatives in her new role; she was associate publisher of Raincoast Books.
Bauer to HBG
Craig Bauer has been named senior v-p of production and manufacturing at Hachette Book Group. Bauer, who will start September 8, was v-p of strategic sourcing at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.
Stoloff, Geiger Up at Frances Goldin
Sam Stoloff and Ellen Geigerhave been named partners at the Frances Goldin Literary Agency. Geiger joined the agency in 2005 and is a 25-year veteran of the publishing, film and public television industries. Stoloff has been with the agency since 1997.
Smith to Cablevision
Tad Smith, former CEO of Reed Business Information (PW's parent company), has been named president of local media at Cablevision. Smith will start September 1.
