Jason Rekulak has been promoted from editorial director to associate publisher and creative director at Quirk Books. Rekulak, who joined Quirk in 2000, conceived of, among other projects, the house's bestselling Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.
Nelson to Oprah Magazine
Sara Nelson has been named books director for O, the Oprah Magazine. Nelson, former editor-in-chief of PW, starts at the Hearst publication September 14.
Blake to Henry Holt
Gillian Blake will join Henry Holt as executive editor of Henry Holt Adult on September 21. Blake will focus on acquiring high profile nonfiction titles and will report to editor-in-chief Marjorie Braman. Blake was most recently executive editor at Collins.
Shacham, Wheeler to Nancy Yost
Zoe F. Shacham has joined the Nancy Yost Literary Agency as director of foreign rights. Also, Natanya Wheeler has been brought on as an agent.
