Glines Tops at Smashwords

Abbi Glines dominated the top spots on Smashword’s list of the bestselling self-published titles in June, which was once again ruled by the romance category. Her erotic novel Forever Too Far, the third installment in Glines’s Fallen Too Far series, landed at #1, and also hit #1 on the New York Times e-book bestseller list in June. The first title in the series, Fallen Too Far, came in at #3 on the Smashwords list, and the second, Never Too Far, sat in the #5 spot. Glines inked a two-book deal with Simon & Schuster’s Simon Pulse imprint last September for her YA novels; both were released last year in hardcover, trade paperback, and e-book formats.

The only other author to have three titles on the June list is Shayne Parkinson, whose historical novels in the Promises to Keep series chronicle the life of a woman in 19th- and early–20th-century New Zealand.

The boxed set of J.S. Scott’s Billionaire’s Obsession series came in at #4, falling from the #1 slot in May (when it was priced at 99¢). The collection also hit #23 on the New York Times e-book bestseller list and, as of August 8, was the second-bestselling collection of romance anthologies in the Kindle store.
