Bestseller Stat Shot
Chances are you’ve heard of Anna Todd and After, her One Direction fan fiction series. It’s raked in over a billion reads on Wattpad, and earlier this year Simon & Schuster splashed out mid–six figures to acquire world and audio rights to the series. The first print edition landed on October 21 in the form of a $16 expanded and revised paperback--but would readers pay for a book that they could read for free on Wattpad? By and large, no. Here are the vital stats for the book’s print and Wattpad editions.
