Smashwords Self-Published Bestseller List, July 2016

While romance reigns once again on the list of top-selling titles on Smashwords platform, a survey of the site's top selling titles reveals some interesting outliers.

In at #7 is Hal Elrod's self-help title The Miracle Morning: The Not-So-Obvious Secret Guaranteed to Transform Your Life (Before 8AM), about which Rich Dad Poor Dad author Robert T. Kiyosaki said: “Hal Elrod is a genius and his book...has been magical in my life." The book is billed as "the simplest approach to achieving everything you've ever wanted."

In at #10 is a humor title: USA Today bestselling author Penny Reid's Neanderthal Marries Human, book 1.5 in the Knitting in the City series. And while this book, the sequel to Neanderthal Seeks Human, also might technically fall into the romance category -- it chronicles the relationship of struggling knitters Janie Morris and Quinn Sullivan -- the strong comedic element sets is apart from many other titles on the list.

And, coming in at #13 is Paul Wadlington's 2016 Longhorn Football Prospectus: Thinking Texas Football, the fourth annual edition of the author's football preview, covering everything from an assessment of the Longhorns to a look at the team's opponents in the Big 12 Conference.
