The Seven Sisters series by Lucinda Riley hit several European bestseller lists in January and remained popular in February, especially in the Netherlands, where five books were among the top 20 bestsellers on the country’s combined list at the end of February, including The Seven Sisters, the first title in the series, which was #1. Two Sisters by David Foenkinos landed in the second spot on the French fiction bestseller list at the end of last month. The best-known novel by Foenkinos—who is popular in his native France—is Delicacy, which was published in the U.S. by HarperCollins. Topping France’s fiction bestseller list was I Dream Too Hard by Michel Bussi. The thriller author has had a number of his previous books published in the U.S. by Hachette and Europa Editions’ World Noir imprint. The three top fiction sellers in Germany at the end of February were all new to the list, led by English author Simon Beckett’s The Scent of Death, the sixth volume in his David Hunter series. More than 21 million copies of books in the Hunter series have been sold worldwide, but Beckett does not have a regular American publisher.
