Beginning this spring, Random House Children’s Books will publish Spanish-language editions of classic picture books by the late Dr. Seuss. Cathy Goldsmith, president and publisher of Beginner Books at Random House Children’s Books, has acquired North American rights to the Spanish editions from Dr. Seuss Enterprises.

For the first time, Random House will publish both Seuss’s English-language and Spanish-language editions in North America. This is also the first time that several Seuss titles will be available in Spanish, including Mr. Brown Can Moo! Can You?, Ten Apples Up on Top!, and What Pet Should I Get?

The first 15 titles will be available on March 26; additional books will follow in 2019 and beyond. The initial titles are The 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins (Los 500 sombreros de Bartolomé Cubbins); And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street (Y pensar que lo vi por la calle Porvenir); The Cat in the Hat Comes Back (El Gato Ensombrerado ha regresado); Green Eggs and Ham (Huevos verdes con jamón); Horton Hears a Who! (¡Horton escucha a Quién!); How the Grinch Stole Christmas! (¡Cómo el Grinch robó la Navidad!); I Can Read with My Eyes Shut! (¡Yo puedo leer con los ojos cerrados!); The Lorax (El Lórax); Oh, the Places You’ll Go! (¡Oh, cuán lejos llegarás!); Mr. Brown Can Moo! Can You? (¡El Sr. Brown hace Muuu! ¿Podrías hacerlo tú?); One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish (Un pez dos peces pez rojo pez azul); Ten Apples Up on Top! (¡Diez manzanas en la cabeza!); There’s a Wocket in My Pocket! (¡Hay un Molillo en mi Bolsillo!); What Pet Should I Get? (¿Cómo podré decidir qué mascota elegir?); and Yertle the Turtle and Other Stories (Yoruga la Tortuga y otros cuentos).
