Sales Snapshot
The #1 book in the country is Baby Steps Millionaires, by personal finance radio host Dave Ramsey. The #2 title, The Great Reset, by The Blaze founder Glenn Beck, is subtitled Joe Biden and the Rise of Twenty-First-Century Fascism. A pair of older titles round out the top four: the resolutions-ready Atomic Habits by James Clear and Colleen Hoover’s TikTok hit It Ends with Us.
Paradise by the Reading Light
The week’s big fiction debut is To Paradise by Hanya Yanagihara, #1 on our hardcover fiction list. “Yanagihara’s ambitious if unwieldy latest spins a set of three stories in New York City’s Washington Square over 200 years,” our review said—namely, set in 1893, 1993, and 2093. “There’s a great deal of passion, but on the whole it’s a mixed bag.” It’s Yanagihara’s first novel since 2015’s A Little Life, which made the Booker shortlist and the National Book Award finals, and has been a mainstay of TikTok “books that made me cry” videos. It’s sold between 4,000 and 6,000 print copies each week for the past seven weeks, and 469K trade paper copies since its release.
