    In its first major move since being acquired by KKR, Simon & Schuster has announced that longtime Little, Brown editor-in-chief Judy Clain will join S&S as senior v-p and publisher of Summit Books, with a mandate to revive and refocus the imprint.

  • Andrew Miller Tapped to Lead Henry Holt

    Miller has been named president and publisher of Henry Holt, effective mid-January 2024, succeeding Amy Einhorn, who left Holt this summer to lead the Crown fiction program.

  • Jaimee Callaway Succeeds Bill Newlin at Avalon

    Bill Newlin, longtime v-p and publisher of Avalon Travel, will retire on June 30, 2024, to be succeeded by associate publisher Jaimee Callaway.

    Hidden Pigeon Company, launched earlier this year to expand the reach of children’s book author Mo Willems’s portfolio, has named four new executives to its management team, including publishing veterans Carol Roeder and Jennifer Levine.

    Sansigre has been named chief financial officer at Penguin Random House, effective January 1, succeeding Jim Thompson, who will retire next year. Sawhney has been promoted to chief strategy officer, effective immediately.

    PEN America intends to expand its presence in Florida amid growing book banning and other censorship efforts in the state, and has appointed ACLU veteran Katie Blankenship director of a new Florida office.

  • Liz Gough Will Run DK's New Adult Books Program

    DK has named Hodder & Stoughton executive publisher Liz Gough to the newly created role of managing director of DK Adult. In the position, Gough is charged with growing and diversifying the publisher's adult publishing program.

  • Jaci Updike Is Penguin Random House's First Chief Revenue Officer

    The PRH sales veteran has been promoted to the newly created position of chief revenue officer, from president of sales and marketing, at Penguin Random House U.S. The division's Jeff Weber and Michael Rotondo also received promotions.

  • Clive Chiu to Retire as PW Art Director

    Publishers Weekly’s longtime art director, Clive Chiu, will retire at the end of the year. Chiu joined PW in 2000, when it was owned by Reed Business Information, and made the move to PW’s current owner, PWxyz, in 2010.

  • Brian Napack Out as Wiley CEO

    Napack has stepped down as president and CEO of Wiley, and has been replaced on an interim basis by Matthew Kissner, former Wiley group executive and board chair.
