Following Monday's announcement that Kimberly Snead will fill the new role of director of brand strategy at Crown, the publisher said Tuesday that Leigh Ann Ambrosi will join as v-p, brand publishing project director, reporting to Tina Constable. Ambrosi is the latest executive to leave Sterling, where she was v-p, marketing and publicity.
In this newly created position, Ambrosi will serve as project director for select publications by key health, fitness, and self-help authors within the Crown Archetype and Harmony Books imprints. For these projects, she will be responsible for developing and maintaining publication timelines and processes as well as for coordinating the efforts of a multi-disciplinary team comprised of members of Crown's editorial, marketing, publicity, sales, and business development departments. She will also serve as the primary liaison with the author and their representatives and will play a key role in crafting and executing long-term strategy, from pre-publication set-up through book launch and beyond. Her additional duties will include creating and presenting pitch presentations for internal teams, agents, authors, and business partners and working with Snead.
