The third volume in the Wishes series from G.J. Walker-Smith, Storm Shells, topped the list of the bestselling titles published on the Smashwords platform in December. The Australian author also grabbed the #5 spot with Second Hearts, the second book in the coming-of-age series. The next book, Secret North, will be available on June 30.
Two titles in Melody Grace’s Beachwood Bay series made the top-10 list: Unbroken, the series debut, came in at #2, and Unwrapped, the holiday-themed fifth book in the series (released December 10), was #3. Unafraid, the fourth installment, hit #12. Chanda Hahn’s Fable, one of the rare fantasy titles on a list dominated by romance novels, came in at #4. Released in August, Fable is the third title in the author’s UnEnchanted series for young adults.
New Zealander Shayne Parkinson occupied two spots in the top 10 on Smashword’s December chart. Mud and Gold, the second book in her Promises to Keep historical fiction series, set in her native country, hit the #8 spot. The next book in the series, Settling the Account, sat at #10. The fourth book, A Second Chance, appeared further down the list, at #17. Smashwords distributes e-books to Amazon, Apple, Barnes & Noble, Diesel, Kobo, and Sony.
