Author Ingrid Law’s Newbery Honor book Savvy (Dial, 2008) has earned her legions of devoted middle grade fans. She has written two sequels: Scumble (Dial, 2010), and now Switch (Dial, Sept. 1). To celebrate, Law criss-crossed the country on a book tour that spanned Colorado to Georgia. Here we present photo highlights from the author’s bookstore and school visits.

While in Jackson, Miss., Law visited Madison Avenue Elementary School, with book sales by Lemuria Bookstore. The school-wide theme for the 2015-16 school year is finding your inner superpower. Here, Law receives a t-shirt reflecting the theme from students.

Law appeared at Country Bookshop in Southern Pines, N.C., where she also visited a few stores. Here, Law poses with five local students who received free copies of Law’s books donated by the bookstore, their reward for meeting reading goals set in the classroom.
