Abrams Books for Young Readers has announced the publication of the 10th volume in Jeff Kinney’s Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, which will be released on November 3, 2015. The title has not yet been announced.
To kick off the festivities, the second annual Wimpy Kid Month, established last year, begins on April 1 (April Fool’s Day) and ends with the cover reveal on April 27 by Jeff Kinney with XM Sirius Radio’s kids’ host Absolutely Mindy, on a webcast in front of a live audience of Wimpy Kid readers.
There are more than 150 million copies of the series in print. The series has sold in 44 territories and translated into 42 languages. To herald the international success of the book, Abrams will release the book simultaneously in 90 countries on November 3,. The release coincides with an international author tour, which Abrams is calling “the biggest around-the-world author tour ever.”
“For me,” Kinney said in a release, “the most surprising thing about Diary of a Wimpy Kid has been how kids of different cultures around the world have embraced Greg Heffley. I’m very excited that we’re able to simultaneously publish in so many languages, and I’m eager to meet as many fans as I can across the world.”
