Love from the Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. Grosset & Dunlap, $8.99; ISBN 978-0-448-48932-2. The Caterpillar makes an appearance in this picture book ode to a beloved.

Untamed: A Splintered Companion by A.G. Howard. Abrams/Amulet, $16.95; ISBN 978-1-4197-1869-4. This book acts as a companion to the YA series Splintered, a reimagining of Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Untamed offers three novellas that add backstory to Howard’s version of Wonderland.

Frozen Tides by Morgan Rhodes. Razorbill, $18.99; ISBN 978-1-59514-707-3. This fourth volume in the YA high fantasy Fallen Kingdoms series centers on a world where peace has long reigned, but unrest begins to simmer.
