The eighth annual Brooklyn Book Festival – New York City’s largest free literary event – took place on September 22 at Brooklyn’s Borough Hall and Plaza. As usual, there were plenty of offerings for children’s book fans, with panel discussions, drawing demonstrations, signings, and more. And this year, for the first time, the BoBi (Best of Brooklyn award) went to an author who writes primarily for young people: Lois Lowry. Below, a sampling of photos from the day.
