The Fault in Our Stars author John Green (recently named to Time's 100 Most Influential People list) will appear on a panel at BookCon, the consumer book event produced by ReedPOP, taking place for the first time at this year's BEA. Green will discuss Fox's film adaptation of his novel, alongside Elizabeth Gabler (president of Fox 2000 Pictures), Josh Boone (director), Wyck Godfrey (producer), and Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber (screenwriters).
The panel, which will be held on May 31, will be moderated by Sara Vilkomerson, senior writer at Entertainment Weekly, and will feature a sneak peek of footage of the upcoming film, set to open in theaters on June 6.
“This is precisely the experience BookCon was designed to deliver as we’re giving fans of the novel a chance to hear not only from the author, but those who worked tirelessly to put John’s words onto the big screen,” said Lance Fensterman, global senior v-p of ReedPOP. “Fans will get the chance to hear from both the creative team of the film as well as Green about how close the story is to their hearts.”
