HMH Books for Young Readers has one promotion and two new hires. Amanda Acevedo has been promoted to marketing associate, school and library marketing; she was previously marketing assistant. Whitney Leader-Picone has joined as senior designer; she was previously designer and e-book conversion manager at Charlesbridge. Lily Kessinger has joined as editorial assistant; she was previously an intern at Candlewick Press.

At the Jill Corcoran Literary Agency, Eve Porinchak has been promoted to junior agent, from intern. She will be representing picture books through YA.

Nick Henderson has joined Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing as sales assistant.

Bethany Buck has joined Sanford J. Greenburger Associates as a literary agent. She will represent teen fiction, middle-grade fiction, and chapter books, as well as a select list of picture books. Buck was previously v-p and publisher of the Aladdin and Simon Pulse imprints at Simon & Schuster; authors she has worked with include Rachel Renée Russell, Brandon Mull, Richard Paul Evans, Lisa McMann, and Scott Westerfeld. Little, Brown Books for Young Readers has four new hires. In the design department, Veronique Sweet has been named senior designer for brand, licensed, and media tie-in publishing; she was most recently at Macmillian. Ching Chan will join as senior designer on March 9; she was most recently at Penguin Random House. Catherine San Juan has been named assistant designer; she was most recently at Rodale Inc. And Kumi Hayase has joined the marketing art and production department as senior designer.

Chelsea Hassman has joined Random House Children's Books as social media manager, a new position. Hassman was formerly social media manager and photo editor at Pitchfork.

Jordan Hamessley has joined Adaptive Books as editorial director. Most recently she was an editor at Egmont USA where she edited authors such as Ilsa J. Bick and Bree Despain; before that she was associate editor at Grosset and Dunlap.

Alison Weiss will join Sky Pony Press on February 17 as editor, with an emphasis on middle grade and young adult. She was previously an associate editor at Egmont USA.

Abrams has a new hire and two promotions. Traci Todd has joined Abrams Books for Young Readers and Amulet Books as executive editor, children's books. Formerly she was senior editor, children's publishing at Viz Media. Jennifer Graham has been promoted to senior managing editor at Abrams Books for Young Readers and Amulet; she was previously managing editor. Erica Finkel has been promoted to associate editor at Abrams Books for Young Readers and Amulet; she was previously assistant editor.

Scholastic has several new hires. Michael Petranek has joined as senior editor, licensed publishing; he was most recently at Papercutz. Maya Frank-Levine has joined as production editor; she was most recently at Rockefeller University Press. Jennifer Abbots will join as publicity manager on February 23; she was most recently at Harlequin. Kim Ryan has joined Klutz as specialty sales manager; previously she was a sales rep with Splash. Julia Romero has joined Klutz as key account manager; she was most recently at Kid O. Owen Keating has joined Klutz as senior packaging designer; he was most recently at Alex Toys.

Scholastic also has several promotions: Celia Lee has been promoted to associate editor; she was formerly assistant editor. Leslie Mechanic has been promoted to senior designer; she was formerly designer. Rebekah Wallin has been promoted to production editor for Scholastic Press; she was formerly publishing assistant at Scholastic.

Random House has three promotions and one new hire. For the Knopf/Delacorte/Wendy Lamb/Crown imprints: Stephanie Moss has been promoted to art director, from associate art director; Jinna Shin has been promoted to senior designer, from designer; and Heather Kelly has been promoted to designer, from junior designer. Sam Terris has joined the company as publicity assistant.

Simon & Schuster has three new hires. Cindy Kim has joined Little Simon as editorial assistant; she has a Masters in Publishing from NYU and interned at Clarion Books, Orchard Books, Atria Books, and Korean publisher Doosan Dong-A. Erinn Pascal has joined Simon Spotlight as editorial assistant; she interned at HarperCollins, David Godine, Barefoot Books, and HMH. Janine Perez has joined the marketing department as marketing assistant. Most recently she worked at Bert Davis Executive Search, and interned at Avon Romance and Nancy Yost Literary Agency.

Emma Goodman has joined Little, Brown Books for Young Readers as an administrative assistant in brand, licensed, and media tie-in publishing. She was previously a sales administrator at Macmillan.
