Houghton Mifflin Harcourt announced that it has partnered with Google to deliver K-12 core curriculum through Google Play for Education, Google's content store for K-12 schools launched in November.
Core content such as GO Math! and Journeys Common Core, will be among the first K-12 titles to become part of the store and they will be available on Android tablets, Google Chromebooks, and online.
“We believe that for a learning transformation to truly take hold, students and teachers must have great access to quality content," said Mary Cullinane, chief content officer and executive v-p of corporate affairs at HMH. "By supporting multiple methods of distribution, HMH provides customers with the choice and flexibility to tailor content delivery to their technology resources and to the needs of the student.”
The HMH content will be available for 180 or 360 day periods, and is currently in pilot phase with select schools. It will be available in Google Play for Education in the coming weeks.
