Open Road Integrated Media, which got a major financial boost earlier this month, announced its latest e-book acquisition today: 24 Jack Higgins books, originally published between 1959 and 1985, which it will release as e-books as part of its Author Branded Program. The e-books are on sale today, and Open Road will release print-on-demand paperback editions of the books in the coming weeks.
Thriller writer Higgins has sold more than 250 million books worldwide. Open Road's e-book editions feature new covers and an illustrated biography with previously unpublished photos and details about Higgins’s life. The company plans to release original videos about Higgins and his books, archival photos, and interviews. The multimedia content will appear on Open Road’s online platform and be syndicated to its online content partners.
Open Road v-p and publisher Brendan Cahill said the multimedia content Open Road has produced will “allow us to create a 360-degree world for [Higgins's] legions of fans.”
Open Road's e-editions of Higgins's books include A Prayer for the Dying, Bloody Passage, Confessional, The Valhalla Exchange, Dark Side of the Street, Dillinger, Exocet, and other titles.
