No sooner have all the champagne flutes from the royal wedding been washed, and Sterling is releasing an e-book based on the event: William & Catherine: Their Romance and Royal Wedding in Photographs. The publisher, which is a subsidiary of Barnes & Noble, is making the $7.99 e-book available exclusively on B&N’s NookColor for two weeks. Then, on May 17, a hardcover print edition will go on sale at B&N and other retail outlets and the e-book will be made available for other devices.

The book has more than 200 photographs with detailed captions recounting the couple’s childhoods, their romance and engagement, the events leading up to the wedding, and the wedding itself. The author is David Elliot Cohen, who has created more than 30 illustrated books including A Day in the Life of America and America 24/7. There is a foreword by official NBC royal commentator Robert Jobson.

This is the first time Sterling has developed an e-book that gives the NookColor an exclusve selling period. Sterling president Marcus Leaver said, “I am proud that we have managed to produce an e-book of great quality at a value price of $7.99 within one week of the royal wedding."
