Following a software update, Kindle for iPad, Kindle Cloud Reader, and Kindle for Android now support children’s books, comics, and graphic novels, Amazon said this morning. Over 1,000 children’s and comic book titles in full color are now available on Kindle Fire, Kindle for Android, Kindle for iPad, and Kindle Cloud Reader.
The upgrade adds functionality for fixed-layouts (important for comics and graphic novels), Kindle Pop-up text to help read small text and Kindle Panel-View, functionality that allows the comic to be experienced in an easy-to-read panel-by-panel viewing display. In addition, Kindle for iOS has added library search by title and author.
