Pearson is launching Early Edition multiformat e-books, a new service that allows readers to get early access to e-books on hot topics in technology before the finished publication is released. Readers can purchase the editions, which will be made available in the early stages of editing and technical review, and then receive a finished edition once the book is officially released.
Early Edition multiformat ebooks are available in the ePub, Mobi and PDF formats. Early Edition titles will be made available to the public 60 to 90 days before the book’s scheduled publication. Initial releases in the program focus on technologies attracting attention in the marketplace and include The Core iOS 6 Developer’s Cookbook by Erica Sadun, Learning Objective C 2.0 by Robert Clair and Programming in Objective C, 5th Edition by Stephen Kochan.
Paul Boger, Publisher of the Pearson Technology Group, said, “Developers can't wait for the right answers, especially from amazing teachers and trainers like Erica Sadun, Stephen Kochan, and Robert Clair. We want our customers to gain expertise as soon as the experts do. With Early Editions, they can."
