Veronica Roth's much-anticipated closer to her Divergent trilogy, Allegiant, was the top-selling paid book in the Apple iBooks store for the week ended October 28. John Grisham's newest, Sycamore Row, which features Jake Brigance of the writer's debut novel, A Time to Kill, landed in the #2 spot. Orson Scott Card's Ender's Game slid up one spot to #3, just days before the November 1 release of the film adaptation of the novel. Last week's #1 book, The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarity, dropped to #4.
New to the list last week was Twelve Years a Slave by Solomon Northup, coming in at #6. A movie based on the book, starring Brad Pitt and Chiwetel Ejiofor as Northup, is garnering critical acclaim.
