As the ALA Midwinter Meeting in Philadelphia gears up, announcements continue to surface from companies with new programs or innovations. In that vein, 3M Library Systems is saying that its Cloud Library eBook Lending System will now launch in Canada—3M’s first international expansion.
In addition to offering content from the big five publishers, 3M is also working with Canadian presses, including House of Anansi Press, Dundern Press, ECW Press to bring readers “uniquely Canadian voices.”
At ALA, 3M officials said they will showcase the Cloud Library’s new automated buying tool, which allows librarians to purchase hold lists automatically, and better manage their collections.
3M Library Systems will be located at booth #1025 at the trade show, and will also be exhibiting at the Ontario Library Association (OLA) Super Conference Expo, January 30-31 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in booth #529.
