Lone Survivor, once again, took the #1 spot on Apple's iBooks bestseller list, still enjoying a sales boost thanks to the film adaptation of Marcus Luttrell and Patrick Robinson's 2007 book (the movie landed #2 at the weekend box office). Former defense secretary Robert M. Gates' memoir Duty saw the greatest drop in the top 10 for the week ended January 27, sliding from #2 to #8.
Sue Monk Kidd's The Invention of Wings, an Oprah Book Club 2.0 pick, climbed from #15 to #9. Joyce Maynard's 2009 Labor Day was new to the list last week -- the film adaptation of Maynard's novel, starring Kate Winslet and Josh Brolin, hits theaters January 31.
