The first trailer for the film adaptation of E.L. James's Fifty Shades of Grey dropped on July 24, and was met with much fanfare across the Internet. Less than a week later, it became the most watched YouTube film preview of the year. The book the film is based on resurfaced at the top of bestseller lists, leading Apple's chart for the week ended July 28.
The top seller last week, and many previous weeks, The Fault in Our Stars by John Green, dropped two spots to #3. Gayle Forman's If I Stay lept from the #16 spot to #2.
