After the film adaptation of Gone Girl topped the weekend box office following its October 3 premiere, Gillian Flynn’s 2012 bestseller, held on to the #1 spot on Apple’s iBooks bestseller list for the week ended October 6. At #2 was The Best Of Me, Nicholas Sparks’s 2011 novel, which has reappeared on bestseller charts in anticipation of the October 17 release of the movie version.
Priced at $2.99, Ken Follett’s Fall of Giants, the first book in his Century trilogy, hit #3. Edge of Eternity, the third and final book in the series, landed six spots down at #9. Last week, Edge of Eternity ranked at #2 on PW’s Top 10 Overall bestseller list, and #1 on our Hardcover Fiction bestseller list.
