American Sniper, the memoir by the former Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, ousted Laura Hillenbrand’s Unbroken from the top spot on Apple’s iBooks bestseller list, for the week ended January 12. Hillenbrand’s book enjoyed a long run at the top of the list in the lead up to, and the weeks following, the December 25 premiere of the film adaptation of the 2010 title. American Sniper was also adapted into a big screen version, which opened in limited release on Christmas Day, and will open in wide release on January 16.
