Apple has released its list of the bestselling e-books and audiobooks sold through the iBooks store in 2017.
Topping the fiction chart was John Grisham's Camino Island, followed by The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood. Grisham had three books among the top 20 selling fiction books in the year, with The Rooster Bar landing at #16 and The Whistler at #18.
In nonfiction, Hillbilly Elegy by J.D. Vance was a big seller all year long and was the top-selling title in the category in 2017. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson was in second place on the list. Two politicians had books in the top 20—What Happened by Hillary Clinton was in seventh place and the just resigned Minnesota Senator Al Franken's Al Franken, Giant of the Senate was #12. Former Fox anchor Bill O'Reilly had two books among the top 20 titles, although his most recent book, Killing England, finished lower than his earlier book, Killing the Rising Sun, with the latter at #9 and the former at #20.
The audiobooks list was led by Manson's The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck, with the backlist staple The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz in second place.
