World-wide aggregator and digital distributor Publish on Demand Global (PODG), which currently provides services to approximately 10,000 authors and publishers world-wide, finalized a distribution deal with Flipkart.com, the so-called Amazon of India with 75% marketshare for e-books in the country, at the New Delhi World Book Fair last month.
Flipkart.com will allow all digital content distributed through PODG’s network to be made available for sale in India to any reader with an Android Apple IOS, or Windows 8 device or on their desktop through the Flipkart.com website. The bookseller and online marketplace has over 10 million registered buyers and an estimated 100,000 unique visitors access the site daily.
