Author and editor Donald Michael Kraig died March 17 at his home in Los Angeles after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 63.
Kraig is perhaps best known as the author of Modern Magick, published by Llewellyn in 1988. Shortly after the book was published, he was hired as a writer at Llewellyn. He later became the editor of Fate magazine.
"Don has been an important part of Llewellyn Worldwide for over 40 years and has been a tremendous colleague, teacher, mentor and inspiration to many," wrote Llewellyn publisher Bill Krause. "[He] has touched so many lives and will be dearly missed. We are grateful to his life lived, and for his teachings and words that will continue to live on through his many books. Our thoughts go out to his wife Holly and their families and friends."
