Paul Edward Kozlowski, previously associate publisher of Other Press, passed away at the Hoboken University Medical Center on June 25. He was 60.
Kozlowski, who went by "PK," previously worked as a bookseller for Doubleday Bookshops and Barnes & Noble, and as a national accounts manager for Penguin. From 1996 to 2009, he held positions throughout Random House, including director of national accounts and v-p, director of field sales, in the sales division, and director of marketing at Alfred A. Knopf and Pantheon.
In 2010, Koslowski joined Other Press, and had been working at the publisher until May. Other Press said Kozlowski was "a staunch supporter of independent bookstores" and a "beloved figure among the indie book selling community."
Visitation hours will be held at the Failla Memorial Home in Hoboken, New Jersey, on Sunday, June 29, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. A blessing will be offered in the chapel at 5:30 p.m. The family requests no flowers.
