Jason Schneider, editorial director for Skyhorse Publishing, died July 26 after a long illness. He was 44.
At Skyhorse Schneider directed the creation of the company's Racehorse Publishing and Racehorse Publishing for Young Readers imprints. Prior to moving to Skyhorse, Schneider worked at Dover Publishing and Sterling.
Services will be held July 31. In lieu of flowers, his family ask that donations be made in his name to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, PO Box 5028, Hagerstown, Md., 21741. Skyhorse is also working with Schneider's wife, Paula, to establish education funds for their three children.
