Le French Book, which brings French bestsellers to an English language-audience, has signed audiobook agreements with Audible for a number of its titles.
The move rounds out the format options available from the New York-based startup, which launched in 2012 as an e-book venture. Last October, Le French selected Ingram to manufacture and distribute its first print list.
“We want all readers to be able to have access to these books, whatever their format of choice," said Le French Books founder and president Anne Trager. "Now that our digital books and print books are available, we are pleased to announce that audiobooks are in production.”
The first Le French audiobooks will go on sale in the fall. “We have a little catching up to do, but we are aiming to have simultaneous releases for the fall titles,” added Trager.
