BookExpo is launching a new program at this year’s show that will connect booksellers with editors. In-Booth Editors’ Hours, intended to facilitate informal conversations between publishers and booksellers about new releases, will take place during four open house-style sessions from Wednesday, May 30 to Friday, June 1 at participating publishers’ booths.
“In-Booth Editors’ Hours offer a valuable opportunity for one-on-one chats between editors and booksellers that will help booksellers provide better recommendations to their readers,” said Ed Several, senior v-p, BookExpo.
Publishers must sign up for the Editors’ Hours program by Monday, April 16, and participants will be notified of their scheduled sessions the week of April 23. Editors can register here.
The Editors’ Hours will be scheduled in four sessions, below:
Session #1: Wednesday, 5/30 from 11:00AM to 12:00PM
Session #2: Thursday, 5/31 from 11:00AM to 1:00PM
