After the success of Ted Rall's Bernie, a political biography of Bernie Sanders released this January, Seven Stories Press has announced that it will publish two new biographies of presidential candidates before Election Day.
Journalist and Nation contributing editor Doug Henwood will take a look at the Democratic frontrunner in My Turn: Hillary Clinton Targets the Presidency, which is set for May 24. The book is being produced in collaboration with OR Books.
Rall will follow up Bernie with Trump, which will publish on July 19. The book examines the meteoric rise of the businessman and reality TV star over the past year, and will address accusations of the candidate's "authoritarianism."
"Ted began with figures that truly inspire him," Seven Stories publisher Dan Simon said in a statement. “But as we get deeper into this amazing year, the need simply to inform the citizenry is what’s compelling us."
Bernie has the New York Times, Boston Globe, and San Francisco Chronicle bestseller on lists.
