Although it isn’t clear when it happened, Amazon.com appears to have crashed. While the retailing site’s logo and navigational tool bar appear, nothing seems to be working. As of 5:15 pm EST the site was not working. Checking Twitter, complaints about Amazon being down started circulating about 3:30pm EST or so.
Amazon has not yet issued any explanation or updates. One concerned Twitter account tweeted: “Is Amazon Broken?”
