After less than two years in business, Greenlight Bookstore in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, is expanding by moving its buying, shipping and receiving, and bookkeeping offices next door. The bookstore, which opened in October 2009, will share the space with another neighborhood business, The Greene Grape, which will open Greene Grape Annex, a coffee bar with prepared foods, in August. Seven-year-old Greene Grape includes a liquor store and a gourmet grocery, Green Grape Provisions.
“We’re grateful to the Greene Grape for first welcoming us into the neighborhood when we opened and thrilled to be partnering with them on this new project,” says Greenlight co-owner Jessica Stockton-Bagnulo. She plans to collaborate with the coffee bar on joint events, from book group meetings to food and book-related events.
