This week SIBA members received a limited edition roll of wrapping paper showcasing over 150 author signatures collected during the SIBA 2013 trade show in New Orleans. Each roll wraps six individual books, and features author signatures including Lee Smith (Guests on Earth), Pat Conroy (The Death of Santini), Tim Federle (Tequila Mockinbird), Sheri Fink (Five Days at Memorial), and William Joyce (The Sandman and the War of Dreams). "It's important to me that SIBA provide avenues for stores to distinguish themselves," said executive director of SIBA, Wanda Jewell. "I can't believe it took me over 20 years to think of this! But now that I have, look out."
While a limited number of additional rolls are available, SIBA plans to offer the unique paper to the public for $24.99 to be purchased through southern indie bookstore members.
