With John Green's The Fault in Our Stars holding steady as the top seller on Amazon's list, the retailer's bestseller battleground appears to be the #2 spot. As of the afternoon of June 11, Hard Choices, Hillary Clinton's much-anticipated, much-buzzed about memoir (considered by many to be a preamble for an eventual presidential bid), hit #2.
But after J.J. Smith's appearance on the Steve Harvey Show on June 11, the author's 10-Day Green Smoothie Cleanse, published in February, moved from #42 to #2, pushing Clinton down to #3 by the morning of the June 12.
While the bestseller has been in the top 100 for 92 days, with a 2,000% increase, Smith's book is currently the fourth book on Amazon's Movers & Shakers list, which tracks the biggest gainers in sales on an hourly basis.
