On June 18, Barnes & Noble will be holding "Page & Screen" discussion events about Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird at all stores nationwide to celebrate the release of Lee's second novel, Go Set a Watchman, on July 14. The event is the second nationwide series planned by the retailer in anticipation of Watchman's release—it was previously announced that on July 13, a day before the book's publication, all B&N stores will host a special To Kill a Mockingbird Read-A-Thon
At the June 18 event, participants are invited to discuss their favorite parts of the Mockingbird, scenes from the movie, famous quotes, and favorite characters.
“Helped by our unique series of customer events, excitement is building at Barnes & Noble for Go Set a Watchman and we are still seeing strong pre-orders of the book in-store and online,” said Mary Amicucci, v-p, adult trade and children’s books at B&N “We expect this to be the number one book when it lands in July, and for this book we have placed one of the largest initial store orders of any adult trade book in Barnes & Noble history.”
