Colorado’s Lithic Press also added a bookstore and gallery, while Star Lines makes its final preparations for a soft opening in Chattanooga at the end of the month.

Local Editions in Longmont to Focus on Colorado Authors: On Saturday Ron Vejrostek, who self-published Financially Intact last month through CreateSpace, will open a bookstore to showcase other indie authors. It will share space with his tax preparation and financial business.
Family Opens Greenhouse/Bookstore in Mifflintown, Pa.: Earlier this week Richard and Freda Weaver opened Twin Cedar Bookstore and Greenhouse, which sells books, Bibles, and homeschooling materials along with mulch.
Star Lines Opens in Chattanooga: Star Lowe is planning a soft opening on August 28 for her 1,300 sq. ft. bookstore across from the Chattanooga Choo Choo.
Red Fox Bookstore Reopens in Horton Bay, Mich.: In honor of their father who died in March of a stroke, Ernest and Prudence Hartwell reopened Red Fox Inn Bookstore, which was mentioned in Hemingway’s 1923 story “Up in Michigan.”
Grand Opening of Lithic Bookstore & Gallery: This weekend, the bookstore, an offshoot of Kyle Harvey and Danny Rosen’s Lithic Press in Fruita, Colo., will hold its grand opening.
Georgia’s Book Exchange Opens: Last weekend 99-year-old Levis Crump, the “papa” of owner Angela Harding, cut the ribbon for the used bookstore in South Boston, Va.
10-Year-Old Back Pages Books in Waltham, Mass., Closes: After spending most of his 20s running the bookstore and its small publishing arm, 32-year-old Alex Green closed the store so that he can pursue other interests.
