A new store opens in Napa while a New Jersey store celebrates its new ownership.To mark its 20th anniversary, Binc has launched a new fundraising effort.

Napa Bookmine Expands in Napa, Calif.: The mostly used bookstore just opened a new store in Oxbow Public Market, where it had had a pop-up site. Unlike the main store, the market store features new books in travel, food and wine, art and design, and lifestyle. It also has a large children’s section.

Grand Opening for Califon Book Shop on Saturday (Feb. 27): The second time was a charm for Heather Kerner. Her children were too young for her to purchase the Califon, N.J., bookstore when it went on the market in 2012, but she was able to buy it late last year when it was for sale again. Kerner is planning to celebrate the opening of the store Saturday afternoon with local authors and illustrators at the store.

Binc 20 for 20: This month marks the 20th anniversary of the Binc Foundation, which was created with donations from Borders staff to help coworkers during a time of crisis. In 2011, when Borders liquidated, the foundation expanded its operations to serve booksellers nationwide as the Book Industry Charitable Foundation. To celebrate, Binc launched a 20 for 20 Challenge to raise money to continue to provide assistance.
