The New York City bookstore with locations at Chelsea Market and Rockefeller Center is testing points South with a 2,000 sq. ft. store set to open in Atlanta’s Ponce City Market in September.
"The store will feature our distinctive mix of quality fiction and nonfiction, and a large children’s section," v-p and buyer Robert Fader told What Now Atlanta. “We will also carry gifts and stationery for both children and adults.”
Posman was forced out of its long-time location in New York’s Grand Central Station in late 2014. It experimented with a pop-up at Brookfield Place in spring 2015, but closed in less than six months. The Atlanta connection was provided by Jamestown Properties, which owns both Ponce City Market and Chelsea Market.
