Edition Addition
In its first week on sale, Daniel Silva’s 18th Gabriel Allon thriller, The Other Woman, sold more than 41K print copies in its conventional edition—enough to debut as the #1 book in the country. The book is also available, signed and unsigned, in a B&N exclusive edition, featuring an interview with the author, bringing total print units sold to almost 56K.
BookScan considers special editions whose sales are reported under different ISBNs ineligible to chart on its bestseller lists, but even so, those editions can add significantly to a title’s purse. Here are more examples from this week’s hardcover nonfiction list.
